Sword in the Stone

Deep Woods - Alternative Apparel

Deep in the forests of Vancouver's Stanley Park there is an undeniable energy amongst these wise old trees. I like to imagine the incredible stories they could tell me if only they could talk.
I was inspired by the woods for this look, and it definitely kept me warm while shooting. I am excited to feature my new cream waffle henley from Alternative Apparel, styled with distressed denim, a blue vintage button down, around my waist, and my "old faithful" military boots.

Marina Magic

Spontaneity shines when a life is being lived passionately. Sunsets don't last long, neither do shooting stars. Both last just long enough to inspire the hearts and imaginations of those who are fortunate enough to witness them. The "magic hour" of a Vancouver harbour is a moment that residents and visitors can only experience once a day, but it never gets old and is always a pleasure.

Brotherly Love

October brought more than just unseasonably warm weather to Vancouver. The incredibly talented Aaron Schwartz came to town, and when I had the opportunity to shoot with him, I jumped at the chance. Having seen the amazing shots he's done for his equally talented sister Kiara of Tobruck Ave I knew I was in good hands. I raced to meet the Schwartz siblings at Sunset Beach in Vancouver's West End. In a version of this look is how you will find me on most Saturdays in the city.
My vintage denim jacket (that was free from holes and fraying when I bought it over 8 years ago) is another one of my wardrobe staples. Layered with a plaid button down from Club Monaco, jeans from TopMan, Converse high tops, and white tee.

You can see all of Aaron's many talents on his website and check out a gallery of more shots from our shoot together here.
